Are you able to use 1 type of rune on all of your Armors?

Such as, I have 5 Armor Peices, can I use 5 Sup. Absorptions? 1 on each armor?

No, runes do not stack.

You can use all of the same type of runes if you want - however, as has been stated, the effects do not stack. ie use 5 minor runes of vigor and you will only get the bonus from 1 of those runes, the rest are wasted.

the game will use only the highest level bonus from the runes, and only one of them. ie if you have a minor and major vigor rune and put both on different pieces of armor, you will only get the benefit from the major vigor rune.. the minor is wasted as the bonus from major is higher.

to bad the major takes health away- thaz y i only use 1 major--the rest r minor
